MEET  THOMAS ZIOL

Hi, I’m Thomas Ziol, a gaffer and proud IATSE Local 209 member based in Cleveland, Ohio.

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of professional productions, from independent projects to larger television and film productions. Through that experience, I’ve developed a strong understanding of lighting design, set workflow, and the importance of reliable gear when it comes to executing a creative vision on set.

Working on larger productions has allowed me to collaborate with talented crews and contribute to projects at a high professional level. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach both lighting and equipment preparation for every job.

​Alongside my work in the industry, I also founded Gripz Rentals to help provide quality grip and lighting equipment to productions throughout the Cleveland area. My goal is to make sure crews have access to dependable gear and a smooth rental experience.
